Government of Nepal has declared Annapurna Region as a conservation protected area in 1986 to conserve different species of  Flora and Fauna ( orchids, rhododendron apart from the species of birds and animals, indigenous people residing in the region).The region is also the home of some of the wild animals including Blue Sheep, snow leopards and other species of the birds namely Blood Pheasant, Kokila, etc, butterflies and insects, because the upper sub-alpine grassland of the region harbors these some of the rare species in the earth.
