We start our trip from Pokhara, the natural capital of Nepal or also known as lake city with an amphitheater of mountains. Annapurna range makes its northern wall and give us mindfullness. This is a base for several treks in the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. We drive 44 km, 1.5 hrs to the trekking trail head at 1,100 m from Pokhara and start our trek to Ghorepani first trekking starging portal Nayapul. Ghorepani and Poon Hill (3,200 m) view spot offers view of about 15 snow peaks including Dhaulagiri I (8,167m / 7th highest), Annapurna I (8,091m / 10th highest) and Manaslu (8,156m / 8th highest). Then we will walk through the rhododendron forest to Chhomrong village across the Annapurna South. From here one can enjoy the heights of Annapurna South and Fishtail. The trail further enters into the narrow valley wedged between Annapuran south and Fishtail. At Fishtail base camp (3,700 m), we come to meadows and glacial moraine with relatively bright and wide valley with 360 degree panaroma views around from Annapurna base camp (4,200 m).

This trip is the best insight into the Nepalese mountain lifestyle, ethnic diversity and a moderate adventure in the Himalayas.  This trip is complete one of the most popular treks to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m), take in panoramic views in the Annapurna region and watch stunning sunrise, pamper yourself in natural hot springs, tour UNESCO world heritage sites in Kathmandu and enjoy a jungle safari  in chitwan as well as tour around birth place of loard Gautam Buddha

Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal. This city is the heart of the country. Due to the presence of many temples and monasteries, this is the key city to explore or visit. The famous world heritages of Nepal like Kathmandu durbar square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, and other many temples are the most attractive place in the valley.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the most popular treks in the world.  At 8,091m (26,545.3 ft), Annapurna I is the 10th highest mountains in the world.  With several other peaks in the Annapurna range, the trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m) offers magnificent panoramic mountain views and great viewpoints to see sunrise.

Chitwan National Park is situated in the southern region of Nepal, protected by Nepal government, and containing rich lush green forest and wildlife. In chitwan, we stay inside the forest lodge by the banks of Nayarani River. The National Park border is inhabited by local Tharus and the local people organize cultural shows for visitors which is very exciting and participatory. We spend a whole day inside the National Park with activities such as jungle walk, canoe, elephant sanctuary visit and other activities.

Lumbini is the birth place of Gautam Buddha and a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site. The site brings out a sense of peace as we visit the legendary palace ruins, gardens, monasteries and other monuments in the area to commemorate Gautam Buddha and Buddhism

Useful Info

About Accommodation

We will stay in deluxe hotels or equivalent in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwa and Lumbini. Mountain guest house will be during trekking. All accommodation is based on double occupancy. Single occupancy can be arranged at request with an extra cost.  However, single occupancy may not be available at some teahouses during trekking in high seasons.

A teahouse is basically a combination of guest house, a restaurant, and social hang-out place. The guesthouses are usually basic, with twin beds in each room and very little additional furniture. Blankets are generally provided but you may want to bring a sleeping bag as the temperature can be much lower at night in mountains. Most bathrooms are shared with either squat type or western style toilets.  Teahouses usually have running water and cold shower. Hot shower is available at some teahouses at an additional cost.

Each teahouse has a large dining room, served as a restaurant and a social gathering place, warmed by the bukhara stove (an iron cylinder, fitted with a chimney duct, in which a log fire is lighted). As some villages do not have hydroelectric power, the dining room and the rooms usually use solar lighting. Some teahouses have electricity for charging small appliances (mobile phones and cameras) at a small cost.

About Meals

During trekking, we will usually have breakfast and dinner at the teahouse we stay, and lunch will be provided at one of the restaurants we trek by. Every teahouse serves the traditional Nepali meal Dal Bhat (rice and lentils), as well as a variety of different food items such as rice, vegetables, noodles, potatoes soup, and western food such as pizza, pasta and French fries. Non-vegetarian option is usually available at low altitude levels.  However, due to the storage issue, fresh meat is not available at some teahouses above certain altitude, but preserved meat (sausages, salami, etc.) may be served.

One tea or coffee will be served in each meal during trekking. Soft drinks, snacks and beer are available to purchase in most of the teahouses and restaurants along the trails.

In Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan and Lumbini, breakfast will be provided in the hotels. You will also be treated with a welcome dinner and a farewell dinner at a nice Nepalese restaurant. This will give you an opportunity to enjoy a well-prepared traditional Nepalese food and dance performance. In Chitwan, all meals will be provided by the hotel or resort we stay.

About Drinking Water

Although bottled water is available to purchase on the trail, we don’t encourage the use of bottled water as the plastic bottles have a negative impact on environment.  All teahouses provide boiled water for trekkers at a small cost.  Bring your own re-usable or thermal bottles. Thermal bottles can also keep the beverage warm which is a delightful treat to your stomach in trekking when the temperature is low, Water filtration or chemical disinfection can be another option.
